Invitation | 2024 Fudan-Guanghua International Forum for Young Scholars-The Institute of Space Internet Sub-Forum
Introduction to the Forum
Young Scholars are the future of academic research. Fudan-Guanghua International Forum for Young Scholars aims to create communication platforms for young, talented scholars of various research fields to discuss cutting-edge research spotlights, resolve frontier academic problems and enhance cooperation among distinct disciplines. The Forum also offers young scholars a taste of the research environment and a package of know-how for research in China, specifically at Fudan University. It would eventually attract young researchers worldwide to work at Fudan University.
The Institute of Space Internet sub-forum is scheduled to be held on 29 – 30 December 2024 (both online and offline). The sub-forum will focus on the following three research areas:
A: AI-powered Communications
B: Satellite Internet
C: Intelligent Networking and Computing
Application Requirements
A. Faculties:
1. Age below 40.
2. Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Math or related areas.
3. Independent researcher with remarkable achievements and great potential.
B. Super Postdoctoral Proposals:
1. Under 35 years old.
2. Ph.D. candidates or Ph.D. graduates within 3 years of graduation in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Math or related areas.
3. Independent researcher with outstanding achievements.

Institute of Space Internet, Fudan University focuses on addressing the frontier challenges in the field of future space science and technology. At the same time, the institute also emphasizes the deep integration of artificial intelligence and communication technologies, exploring cutting-edge applications of AI-enabled communications, such as intelligent network management, predictive maintenance, and optimized transmission paths, to enhance the efficiency and stability of communication networks.
In terms of research teams, the institute has brought together many high-level talents, including 3 academicians, 2 Chang Jiang Scholars, 1 national high-level talent, 4 IEEE Fellows, 6 professors, 7 young core members, 3 engineers, and 4 postdoctoral researchers. The institute’s talent team is diverse, covering various areas including scientific research, technical development, and engineering practice, providing strong talent support for research work.
In addition, the institute actively establishes strategic partnerships with well-known domestic and international enterprises and academic institutions, including China Satellite Network Group, China Mobile Communications Group, China Tower, China Telecom, Huawei, the Innovation Academy for Microsatellites of Chinese Academy of Science and the University of Surrey in the UK. We have set up several joint laboratories and technical research projects. Through the model of industry-academia-research cooperation, the institute has effectively promoted the transformation and application of technological innovations.
